Interior Paint Colours
There are several important factors that will enter into your final decision about what color to use when you remodel a room and give it a fresh coat of paint. Color is by far the most important decision because the color of the walls will set the tone for everything else that goes on in that room. That is why restaurants work so hard on making the colors of the rooms you dine in appropriate for the décor and appealing to you. They even know what kinds of colors make you hungry. So you can use some savvy about how you pick the color of your new room before you buy any paint to do the job.
If you are designing a completely new room and you will be putting in new carpet and wall decorations and buy furniture to fit the room, you have the luxury to color coordinate all of those decisions before you buy anything to get the process started. Keep in mind the mood of the room. A baby room should be happy and cheerful so stay with yellows, pinks and pastels that will coordinate with baby decorations to come later. A dining room or living room will have warm and calming colors. A recreation room is where you can go wild with reds or other active colors because those are rooms devoted to fun.
But most of us already have some part of the rooms we are going to paint established. You may not be ready to change the carpet or the furniture because you like what you have just fine. In that case, look at what colors coordinate well with those items. It is easy to just go with the interior paint colors that are already there in the room. But when you decide to paint a room or all of the rooms in your home, that is such a great opportunity to make a change and add some new life to the room.
There are no doubt dozens of great colors that will coordinate with the one you have in mind. And it is not that hard to make a few changes to introduce a new color scheme to the room so the wall color you want to use will work well for you. For example with the addition of some throw pillows and some new furniture pieces that have the primary colors mixed in as secondary colors, you create complimentary color schemes that are wonderful compliments to each other.
Other elements of the room that can be changed to fit a new color plan are the pictures on the wall and even throw rugs that you can add around the room to tie in the primary area rug that is already there. This is also a good way to cover up a nasty stain. But when you finish that big remodeling plan and that wonderful new wall color is making that room burst with new life, little blemishes like a flaw in the carpet or the furniture will simply disappear.
