Interior Behr Paint

There is nothing like the coming of a new baby to make a home remodeler about even the most inept of dad. That need to set up a new baby room is not optional. And as any young mom and dad knows, you don’t just make a space for the baby. You create a happy and colorful environment where the baby can be stimulated by colors and happy cartoon figures so her first room is a place of rest and joy. Long before you start getting the baby's room ready, the new mom probably has a vision of what it will look like. And the closer the new dad can make that vision of a new baby room come true, the happier the family will be. Because as we all know, if mommy aint happy, aint nobody happy.

The first and maybe most important step is to find the right room in the house for the new baby to live in. This is not always easy because who of us has an entire room that we were not using for something else? Dad might have to give up his work out room or you might have to convert a space and do some building. But it is important the baby have a secure and quiet place to go when it is nap time or to be taken care of. The corner of the living room just won't do.

Ideally the room will have plenty of space so you can have a crib, the baby dresser, changing table, a rocking chair and still plenty of room for mom or dad to move around to take care of the little one. In not that many months off, baby will want to crawl around and explore her room so it all has to be "baby proofed". So close off those electrical outlets and make sure all windows and doors are secure so she will be totally safe in her very own room.

Once the room is selected but before you start to paint, you should clear the room out completely and clean it and inspect the carpet and everything about the physical detail of the room. Make sure the carpet does not have edges sticking up that a baby can pull up and put in her mouth. Look for any sources of splinters or even the tiniest imperfection that could pose a threat to the baby. Once you are satisfied, a good coat of paint is in order to lay down the happy colors you want. Many new moms and dads are happy with Behr interior paint because it is baby safe and easy to work with.

From then on out, its all in your imagination and your budget how ornate you make the walls. There are pictures you can put up as well as mobiles and other happy distractions you can put there in preparation for the baby who will be living in that room. Just remember that she will be looking up at those walls for many house. So make it a place she will feel happy and safe in all the time.
